Latest interviews on Salford City Radio on developments over mediation for 50swomen

Last week Salford City Radio’s Ian Rothwell devoted a whole programme to the CedawinLaw case for mediation to solve the impasse of compensation for the 50swomen who faced a six year delay in getting their pension. Three speakers discussed the issues. Jocelynne Scutt, a former Australian judge and anti discrimination commissioner for Tasmania, gave an update description of the present legal position and how you do not have to court to start a mediation process. Janice Chapman ,a 1950s woman, gives a heart rending account of how women have already been discriminated against before they got their pension and then had to wait six more years before they could get it and how alternatives to work longer are often not possible. I give an interview questioning the wisdom of Waspi’s legal case for partial maladministration and how the All Party Group on State Pension Equality is moving towards insisting that all groups campaign together rather than the division between Waspi and all the other groups which has bedeviled the issue for years.

  1. Dear David Hencke,

WASPI Ltd is only a com plaint of lack of letter communicating the 1995 pension act’s rise of women’s pension age from 60 to 65 and nothing else.

BackTo60 was originally petition that gained near 1m signatures for women’s pension age 60 back, gathered and given in between 2015 and 2017 and then the crowdfunded high court case.

Westminster Confidential could do an article on my endeavour to start a new From Infants to Over 50s political party, that alone is help from council and Scotland and Wales elections next year, by gaining admin / Independent councillor candidates, please. Please share my website with the people written election manifesto http://www.over50sparty.org.uk http://www.over50sparty.org.uk/

We will never get any help from Labour that hates pensioners and has hated women pensioners in particular since 1978 when in government.

  2. Dr Scutt once again voice of reason with a compassionate and logical argument in support of compensation. Of a coalition of womens’ groups to gain rectification of this dire injustice. The Government points to women ‘being informed’…..what about the lawyers who handled divorce cases, basing claims against the husbands of 50s women using the age 60 as State Pension age….therefore short-changing the same women yet again by up to 5 years extra settlement pay? Kind of double jeopardy. How come the lawyers didn’t know either?
